How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body

In this workshop you will learn all the ways that your mind impacts your body, including up to date cutting edge research. You'll learn about the placebo effect and how belief has an actual impact on the brain and body, so that the body's natural resources are mobilised in line with your beliefs. You'll also learn how positive and negative emotion can impact the body and how specific feelings can produce physical effects through the nervous system, arteries, and even the immune system, to reduce blood pressure and even counteract inflammation.

You'll also learn how visualisation can physically shape brain circuits and how this has a corresponding effect on the body. You will learn the results of some clinical studies on rehabilitation and even immune system enhancement, plus some in the field of sports. You will also learn how people around the world have used practical strategies to help facilitate their recoveries from injury, illness and disease, and you will learn how to create and harness the same kinds of strategies.


David has a PhD in organic chemistry and started his career as a scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, developing drugs for cardiovascular disease and cancer.
