Storyteller, creative Play practitioner, SSI Ocean Mermaid Freediving Instructor, underwater performer, and mental health activist.
Mischief's stories come from her real-life mermaid freediving adventures. Her original stories blend topics of ocean conservation and exploration, with positive mental health and wellbeing. She focuses on encouraging imagination and a love of the ocean to help inspire future generations to love and protect the blue planet. The ocean world is full of mystery and magic that even science cannot explain, and Mischief bridges the gap between reality and the mystery.
Mischief has lived experience of working alongside neuro diverse individuals of all ages and a strong background in play therapy and sensory play: Mischief is able to bring these skills into her storytelling and activities providing an empathetic and supportive environment for all.
Mischief and Tinks looks forward to bringing Mermaid meditation, Breathwork, craft and creative play to the NECC Birmingham for The Mind, Body and Spirit Event. Dive into this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in some pure magic straight from the Cornish saltwater realm.
Tinks The Sewing Mermaid is an advocate of the ‘make do and mend’ ethos of yesteryear, she works exclusively with upcycled and repurposed fabrics to create fashions and fancies for the ethereal loving entities of the walking world and the merfolk of the deep.
Tinks sees potential in even the smallest scraps of material, the tiny pieces often discarded by others are stored and re-loved by her to find a new life in our current world, bringing the stories and memories of items from the past into the future.
Tinks love of combining the past with future extends to her story telling where she retells the myths and legends of old Cornwall with her own distinctive twist. Ensuring these tales are loved and retold by the younger generation for years to come.
